February 9th

On this day, February 9th, in 1883, Isabella Christie died.

Isabella is your 2nd great aunt.  She was the 11th and last child of Adam Christie and Isabella Donald.  She died young.  At age 18.  She is buried in Monquhitter Parish Cemetery, Cuminestown with other members of her family.  I don't know how she died.  I can't find a death certificate for her.  

The second event for the day doesn't fit the usual criteria but I want to acknowledge that it was on this day in 1998 that Doris Maxine Anderson died.  Doris is Ainsley‘s maternal grandmother.  Cal's mum.

Doris was born in Griffin, Saskatchewan in 1921.  At age 23 she married David Louis Forbes Lambeth who was from Fife, Scotland.

Doris died on this day in Winnipeg at age 76.
